How to make an emergency call to the police (110)

@The telephone number '110' is for emergency calls to the police, such as for when you are involved in a crime or an accident.

@Dial 110 in the following cases:
› You have witnessed a fight or heard someone screaming

@When we receive an emergency call, we ask the necessary questions. Please stay calm and answer our questions. Some people panic when making an emergency call. We ask you about the details and the location of the incident, and the present situation, to judge how many police officers we have to dispatch and where, so please calmly and slowly provide us with the following information. › If the connection is broken during an emergency call, we will call you back. Please exit the number-withholding mode before you make an emergency call.
› If you have made an emergency call in error, please tell the operator before hanging up that you have dialed a wrong number. Otherwise, a police car will be dispatched to the caller to determine whether that person has fallen victim to any crime.
› If you make an emergency call from your cell phone, do not call while walking or driving. The connection might be dropped due to poor reception. Talking on the phone while driving is against the law.

@Before making an emergency call to the police, please consider whether the call is absolutely necessary, to avoid depriving people who are in urgent need of help from the police of their contact with the police.
